You are ridiculous. I bet you think you are a computer nerd, but don't actually know how to use one. Why don't you link us to your REAL blog, and let us have a stab at you there, tough guy?

Cheers.

Way to use an original idea, Jason. Salt Co. did this same stunt in 2002 and it did nothing but annoy and aggravate people. Congrats SALSA, on whatever it is that you do.

Rumor is, that this is something run by Campus Ministries.

If this is indeed something to do with Christianity, I assure you, there may be some things we might agree on, but I have a feeling that the existence of supernatural constructs is not one of them.

Death to Christians!

At 3:46 PM, Anonymous Caretaker said...

Now now..... killing Christians wouldn't make us evil atheists any better than them, now, will it?

At 9:36 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

If Jason believes that "Jesus Christ is His Personal Lord and Savior" and that's the issue he wants me to agree with (like his two other moron friends did 4 years ago) then he can kiss my ass. Christ doesn't need your shitty PR slogans. Stop dumbing down your religion--it makes people hate you more. I think John Lennon put it best when he said, "Jesus was all right, but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It's their twisting it that ruins it for me."

If Jason supports gay marriage rights and equality for homosexuals in the United States, and if he supports a woman's right to choose, and if he drives a hybrid car and eats organic produce and supports his local businesses and watches the Daily Show, then, YES! I agree with Jason.

At 10:41 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Jason likes killing kitties. I don't agree with Jason.

At 10:35 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Hey--whoever is making these posters----"Do you agree with JASON" requires a question mark at the end of it. The person who created the flyers needs to go back to English 101.

At 2:44 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Wow, "death to Christians," that sounds tolerant of other people's ideas. And I can feel the love for diversity pouring from your thoughts. Echoes of Nazism ring from your keyboard.

And the dude who was upset about the question marks, couldn't the lack of punctuation marks be an advertising tactic? If so, it seems to have worked.

And for the rest of you upset bloggers. I don't understand why so many of you are so angry. Yes, people have done wrong things, even Christians. But how does this tie into what you're seeing on the signs. (Forgot the question mark, maybe I should go back to Eng. 101).

Why don't we all just wait and see what Jason thinks before we decide whether we disagree with him. Just wait it out, nobody is twisting your arm, you aren't dieing, everyone's just fine.

Yeah---"echoes of Nazism" ---did you really just write that? Do you even know what the holocaust was? I'm so sick of everything that some people consider bad being compared to Nazism. Someone said, "Death to Christians!" So what? Is he/she going to build elaborate work/death camps and move as many Christians possible to them in an attempt to systematically destroy their race all while hiding this from the international community? No, obviously, but the interesting thing is that they don't sound stupid when they write, "Death to Christians!" Rather, they sound like someone who quickly typed out a pissed-off blog.

You, anon @ 2:44pm, in your attempt to sound like some highly intelligent, Gandhiesque figure of moderation here, do nothing besides display your insensitivity to one of the worst events in human history by comparing it to something someone said in a blog for college kids. Take a history class and shut up, you self-righteous cow.

You've got to be joking me! If "Death to Christians" doesn't reak of hatred than I don't know what it means. Yeah, it might be someone who's pissed off, spouting off the first thing that comes to mind, but it is rooted in bitterness and hatred. Why is it that you take the liberty to write about the holocaust when you yourself don't know what caused it and fed the flame of Nazism--bitterness and hatred. You also wrote "while hiding this from the international community?" Do you know what is going on overseas, how many people are being killed in North Korea, how many children die each day from the government "hiding" the facts? Yeah, this is America, but don't be ignorant. It's easy to hide the facts and keep it from the international community. The media gives you what you want to hear.

Don't you guys see? This is all part of his plan! He wanted to get your attention, to get you to notice, to start talking about it with your friends, to be intrigued. IT WORKED. Don't you get it? All of this that you're doing right now...all the "you're driving me nuts" and "you're ridiculous" just fuels his plan further. It is what he expected would happen. It is what he intended to have happen. So just give it a rest all ready. If you're so intrigued, go and find out on the 26th!

P.S. Jason is married. Just to let you know.

For all of you guys that dont know whats going on...I will let you in on it. Jason is a close friend of mine and he is seeing if you people agree with him. He wants to know if you agree that the Seahawks are not going to win the Superbowl? Though he is my good friend I had to end the friendship because I do not agree with him. Seahawks all the way!!

THE FORMING OF A CULT

cult (k lt) n.
1.
a. A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.
b. The followers of such a religion or sect.
2. A system or community of religious worship and ritual.
3. The formal means of expressing religious reverence; religious ceremony and ritual.
4. A usually nonscientific method or regimen claimed by its originator to have exclusive or exceptional power in curing a particular disease.
5.
a. Obsessive, especially faddish, devotion to or veneration for a person, principle, or thing.
b. The object of such devotion.
6. An exclusive group of persons sharing an esoteric, usually artistic or intellectual interest.
All around campus we have been seeing these signs that say, “Do You Agree with Jason?” at first no one really knew what it was until a couple of youth groups and churches started talking more and more. That was a couple weeks ago, now no matter where you go you see these Neon Green shirts that people paid their hard earned money for and these shirts read, “Do You Agree with Jason?” There is a banner over university way that reads, “Do You Agree with Jason?” there are flyers that are being given around to people that read, “Do You Agree with Jason?” then you open it up and you get to finally know what you are agreeing with. This is what the pamphlet reads:

“I believe in…

The powerful, persistent and unfathomable love of the one true God, in the persons of Father, Son and Holy Spirit for all people.

This love is expressed perfectly in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who entered into human history, fully God and fully man, showing us a God who is holy and perfect, who compassionately knows our suffering.

I believe that Jesus calls for us to live our whole lives in all-consuming, passionate, and life-defining relationship with out Creator.

A relationship we’ve thwarted because we are all lost and guilty of wrong doing. Because of this wrongdoing, we were distanced from the God we were meant to know.

But I believe that God nonetheless calls out to us now, and I believe that the Bible is completely accurate and inspired Word of God to us.”

I’ll stop here so this Jason kid believes all that stuff and wants us all to follow him and his ideas. To me he sounds like one of those 30minute messiahs that are always on TV. So far Jason or I guess Campus Crusade is using Jason’s beliefs as a selling tool to get their little cult started. Jason uses a lot of big words for little minded people which is a great way to sound superior and know what you are talking about, this technique is not new in fact it is brought up a lot in the book Mein Kampf which was written by Adolf Hitler himself.
Jason believes and so do his cult followers that we should have an “all consuming” relationship with God. Interesting, we should do absolutely nothing but be consumed with God at all times. So eat, drink, sleep and shit God…we should do everything through God, I’m sorry but what kind of life would that be? Rewarding? Most likely, but I really doubt that God wants us to constantly obsess over him, I think even God wants us to go and do things without him.
Jason uses the word “thwarted” as a way of describing what we (all human race) has done to our relationship with God. What does thwarted mean? Thwarted means: “To prevent the occurrence of” so all human race has prevented the occurrence of there being any relationship between man and God. Jason the high and mighty, holier than thou Jason has just said that we (mankind) have prevented the occurrence of there being any relationship with God. I find that hard to believe Jason, I find relationships with God all the time and just because you aren’t getting your name out while there are relationships with God going on doesn’t mean there aren’t relationships with God.
Then Jason continues to say, “Because of this wrongdoing, we were distanced from the God we were meant to know.” We are distanced? If the crucifixition of Christ never happened there would be even more non-believers then there are now! There was one reason for Jesus to come on earth and it was planned before his birth and that he was going to die to SAVE US. We are distanced from the God we were meant to know, there is a bible that helps us know God, ever read it?
Oh wait, what’s this? Jason has just been appointed the next savior of the universe! Hallelujah! Jason got a message from an angel that God is now calling out to us, through Jason and the Campus Crusade Cult of course. Jason I have a question who are you to stand up here and say that God is calling out to us, who are you to stand up there and tell us that we have “thwarted” our relationship with God, who are you to tell us that we are all distanced from God?
Jason then says that he believes that the bible is completely accurate. I have a bible verse for you Jason: “Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired, for then you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.” Matthew 6:1
All you’ve been doing Jason is putting your name on this and that and that and this, are you doing it be admired? Are you doing it so you can be the leader of this cult so people can come and watch you speak on your soapbox so that you can be our 30minute messiah? All that you have done has been in the public eye, there was nothing said on the shirts, or the flyers, or the posters except for “Do You Agree with Jason?” Let’s continue his letter:

“The bible speaks about Jesus, crucified to bear the punishment for our sins, and who then rose from the dead, announcing to us that through Jesus we could have hope of life-after death spent with God.

I believe by the Holy Spirit, all who come to put their trust in the Lord for their whole lives will find a restored relationship with God, a new relationship with the world, forgiveness for our sins, new life in the present, and hope in the life to come. By God’s amazing grace to us we will be with Jesus on the day He returns…Just as He said.”

Then Jason finishes up the letter with I believe God is here with us and not up in the heavens and whatever. The first paragraph here is fine and dandy, we know that Jesus died most people who are Christians know this already…so why are you saying this?
Second paragraph the basic Christian beliefs once again…yay! Good Job Jason and the rest of the Cult for selling shirts and making your Cult bigger oh yea, and making Jason known by spreading the word of Christianity to Christians. I’ll give them something I guess, they did hand out flyers to everyone, Christian or not but how many truly, how many atheists or non believers will be at the meeting of Jason? Not many if any at all…this tactical way of getting people to Follow Jason which will make them Follow Christ is just a way to get money just another scheme.

This is a cult, there is a charismatic leader shall I name him? JASON! There will be a lot of people at this meeting wearing their neon green shirts! So they will all look the same. This reminds me of another Cult or I guess Klan. Thomas Robb is the charismatic leader of the KKK and they all wear white sheets. I’m just making a comparison based on that oh yea and they are both religiously formed. I’m not saying that the CCC (Campus Crusade Cult) is as radical as the KKK (Ku Klux Klan) just sharing the spooky similarities.
I will be attending this meeting with Jason tonight and I will take notes on what is being said and what things I find interesting. I will end this letter with one more bible verse:

“Beware of false teachers who come disguised as harmless sheep, but are wolves and will tear you apart. You can detect them by the way they act, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit. You need never confuse grapevines with thorn bushes or figs with thistles.”

Anon 5:25,
So you heard Jason out? Please, your thoughts. As far as your input earlier--only one comment--blaspheming against the holy spirit is dangerous ground to tread on. The bible was presented clearly and the truth of who Jesus is was spoken about. I got no such impressions of "cult" and as far as quoting the bible...ever use it to search your thoughts and intentions? "The word of God is living and active...and is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." (Heb :12)
